One of the things I would like to share is some groundwork I have already laid for a dissertation/future book on Developing a Christian Aesthetic. This was prompted by a question from a Christian student when I was teaching a high school class on Aesthetics or Philosophy of Art. Each day I hope to post more content to this theory for a Christian Aesthetic.
The very first tenet is to define Beauty and to separate that definition from the definition of art. This is crucial because philosophers of art have stumbled over this dilemma for years.
1. Beauty is an attribute of God and any discussion of beauty has to keep this in mind. Beauty cannot be separated from the essence of God any more than His other qualities such as Truth, Love, Justice etc.
